Workstations and network servers
We build three systems: a high-end workstation, a firewall server, and a DNS server.
Each is assembled by us to order.
We embrace proven, decades-old methods and techniques which have long been abandoned by the commercial mass-market, separating us as trusted specialists rather than become another mass-market entity.
We are confident the systems we deploy, in terms of open-source software, are industry-leading.
We provide full support for the lifecycle of our systems, however at the time of order clients must hold the appropriate specified certification(s) and assume familiarity with Linux/Unix systems.
Reference configurations
- Workstation: x86_64, Intel[or]AMD CPU, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, running GNU Operating System / H-Linux.
- Firewall server: x86_64, Intel CPU, 16GB RAM, Multi-LAN, running Ironclad on IPFire.
- DNS server: x86_64, Intel CPU, 16GB, Multi-LAN, running ShadowSentry™ on Devuan Linux.
Hardware components are chosen for the role of the system with final specification confirmed with the client before the system is built.
Warranty and support
- Warranty: Manufacturer(s) warranty for hardware + Best Computers Support Package.
- Support via email: 24/7 support, with a response within 12 hours of initial support request.
- Software updates: All: feature and security updates, and patches provided for the system lifecycle.
- Exclusions: Physical hardware damage, and modifications (software and hardware) by others designed to bypass, modify and/or remove technologies provided by us at the time of build, or delivered via post-deployment patch, or those designed with the intent of function of the system.
