Freedom Publishers Union expresses deep concern over the rapid escalation of the conflict in the Middle-East, following US and Israeli-led military strikes against Iran.

Since the launch of strikes just three days ago, the situation has deteriorated swiftly.

Iran's retaliatory missile strikes against neighboring countries now represent an imminent threat of broader regional conflict - one that risks drawing in nations from across the international community.

At the time of this statement's release, the conflict stands at an extraordinarily pivotal juncture, and the outcome remains deeply uncertain.

Freedom Publishers Union has long maintained a pacifist approach to military conflict, consistently holding that war must be a last resort - pursued only when all diplomatic and peaceful avenues have been exhausted without prospect of resolution.

We also wish to be transparent about our broader perspective: while we remain skeptical of much of the Western media's characterization of Iran as the singular threat to global stability - believing the United States bears its own significant share of responsibility for tensions in the international order - we do not dismiss the nature of the Iranian regime.

It has, over decades, demonstrated a consistent disregard for regional and global peace and security, and its governance has been marked by brutality and repression.

And let's be absolutely clear when we say that the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei should not be mourned by anyone.

We also take this opportunity to reaffirm a position we have stated consistently across all platforms: Freedom Publishers Union supported the election of President Trump, and in a two-candidate contest against Joe Biden, we collectively believed - and continue to believe - that he was the stronger choice to lead the United States at this time.

However, our support for President Trump is not unconditional, nor does it extend to every decision made under his administration.

This statement is a reflection of that principle.

On the matter of the military strikes against Iran: we believe the decision was justified, with the stated objective of regime change - specifically, the complete dismantlement and replacement of the current Iranian regime, not merely a transition of power from one Supreme Leader to another.

However, we are now confronted with a critical question: is that stated end goal achievable?

While Iran's weapons systems and munitions have reportedly been significantly degraded, the regime itself appears to remain largely intact, organized, and in control.

This raises serious doubts about whether the strategic objective can be realized, and at what further cost.

Freedom Publishers Union remains a deeply concerned observer - as does much of the world.

How this conflict concludes will ultimately rest on the decisions of President Trump.

At this moment, several possible outcomes remain on the table.

None of them are encouraging.

That is a deeply troubling reality.
