December 15, 2025 | [STATEMENT] Freedom Publishers Union Condemns Terrorism and Attacks on Jewish Communities
With this in mind, Freedom Publishers Union issues the following statement:
Freedom Publishers Union condemns in the strongest possible terms the terrorist incident which occurred in the Bondi region of Sydney, Australia, yesterday, December 14.
We are deeply shocked by the incident, which saw two men - reportedly a father-and-son duo - work together to attack members of the community at a Jewish celebration in Bondi.
The incident saw the two men shoot innocent members of the Jewish community.
We are deeply disturbed by reports stating that the two men also threw two pipe bombs into crowds, which fortunately failed to explode.
Further reports detail explosives being found inside a vehicle in close proximity to where the incident occurred, with the vehicle allegedly belonging to the perpetrators.
Combined, if accurate, these reported details set the scene for an incident that could have been, and perhaps was intended to be, much worse than what ultimately occurred.
Freedom Publishers Union believes this is no comfort to the victims of these senseless attacks.
At the time of this statement being written, media reports indicate a total of 16 deaths.
This figure includes one of the alleged shooters, meaning that 15 innocent people have lost their lives as a result of this atrocity.
Among the dead are, according to media reports, an elderly Holocaust survivor, a 10-year-old girl, and an individual who survived the horrific events of October 7, 2023, in Israel.
Media also report that 40 or more individuals remain in hospital, some in very serious, life-threatening conditions.
Consequently, the death toll may yet rise.
Such terrorist incidents can never be accepted as a method to resolve differences of any kind, whether they be religious, political, or otherwise.
Freedom Publishers Union has continually warned of a lapse in focus on underground terrorist activity and extremist beliefs which have the potential to breed hatred and result in individuals carrying out attacks like we saw yesterday in Bondi.
We have frequently highlighted this lapse in focus and instead pointed out that the Australian Government, led by Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, has been more focused on unimportant matters which do nothing to improve the lives of Australian citizens or keep them safe.
Recent examples of this misplaced focus include the Government's determination to operate in near-complete secrecy through combined actions such as blocking freedom of information requests; completely redacting documents that are released; censoring the internet; censoring social networks; and moving to control the internet usage habits of children and teenagers by making it illegal for them to hold accounts on social networks.
Not only are these matters pointless and undemocratic, they most certainly are not what Australian voters have been asking for from their Government.
This is an important matter to bring to light because it demonstrates the lapse in focus and relaxed attitude the Australian Government has shown toward the growing problem of terror that has been festering, not quietly, among specific cohorts in Australia.
Freedom Publishers Union now believes the Australian Government will attempt to weaponize this incident to its own benefit and its agenda of censorship and authoritarianism, using it as a vehicle to further impede freedom of speech.
The thoughts and prayers of everyone involved with Freedom Publishers Union are with the friends and families of those lost in yesterday's terrorist incident.
Our sympathy and solidarity extend to the entire Jewish community around the world, who will undoubtedly feel the effects of this targeted terrorist attack.
We are deeply saddened by the events, as are all Australians.
Recognition must go to the members of the community who remained at the scene to assist those who were hurt and in urgent need of medical assistance, as well as to those who selflessly entered the scene to help.
Furthermore, we must recognize the individual who took the initiative to personally approach and disarm one of the terrorists.
There can be no doubt that this brave individual saved many lives, and he must be acknowledged for his courage.
Investigations are ongoing, but Freedom Publishers Union will continue to condemn all expressions of hate that lead to violence and terrorism.
Above all else, our sincere thoughts are with Australia during this awful time, and our prayers remain with all of the victims and their families.
